3. The fact is hearing is generally the last sense to fail when dying.
4. ALWAYS ASSUME elderly & sick loved ones... can hear until the moment of death.
5. ...want to wear hearing aids and have turned on at all times.
6. ...enjoy daily prayers being said – even if suffering dementia, in ICU, coma etc.
7. ... can mentally join in prayers being said.
8. ...can mentally assent – eg. Act of Contrition etc.
9. ALWAYS pray the favourite prayer of an elderly Catholic loved one you are visiting.
10. Record /burn CDs of family & close friends praying favourite Catholic prayers.
11. Purchase a portable AC power CD player suitable for bedside use – eg. pillow speakers. 12. Ensure hospital / aged care staff / family / visitors follow a written Prayer Care Plan.
