In the Name of the Father And of the Son And of the Holy
Spirit Amen
“The
individual apostolate, flowing generously from the wellspring of
a truly Christian life (cf. Jn. 4: 4). is the origin and
condition of the whole lay apostolate ... and admits of no
substitute.
Regardless
of circumstances, all lay persons ... are called to this type of
apostolate and obliged to engage in it.”
(Decree
on the Apostolate of the Laity 16)
We
are here because we need to listen to the Master
‘The
Lord is here and he would speak to us.
Our
Friend who journeys along with us inspires and encourages us to
even greater ideals.
We
are here because we need to fortify ourselses and deepen our
love.
We
are here, because only by intimate communion with him and our
brothers can we renew our strength, get back on the highway, and
aim at common and pressing goals.
Leader:
Together with Christ, let us glorify the Father in the joy of
the Holy Spirit.
All:
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world
without end. Amen.
Leader:
Almighty and everlasting God, may our prayers rise like incense
before you, as we contemplate your presence in word and sacrament
and in the lives of our brothers and sisters.
Kindle
in us the fire of that love which Jesus your Son brought on earth
by his passion, and which burns in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.
You
are One God through all the ages.
AlI:
Amen.
All:
Jesus, you are Saviour and Lord. You alone have the words of
eternal life.
May
we know and accept the gift of life. You are our Brother and our
Friend.
Make
us your most loyal friends.
You
are our only Lord and our King, Lord of all things, Lord of all
peoples.
Make
us apostles of Your Kingdom, conscious and growing members
of your holy Church.
Grant
us the joy of being your apostles!
Give
us the love, self sacrifice and idealism to be your witnesses
before all.
Come,
let us bow and bend low; let us kneel before the God who made us
for he is our God and we the people who belong to his pasture,
the flock that is led by his hand.
0
that today we would listen to his voice and harden not our
hearts. Amen.
Litany
of Forgiveness
All:
Lord, look upon us with merciful and forgiving eyes.
We
feel the meanness of our infidelity, and the infidelities of our
brothers and sisters in our diocese for whom we pray.
Look
not at our selfishness but at your love shown for us on the
Cross.
Leader:
For our consistent weaknesses, for the indifference with which we
sometimes listen to your voice.
All:
Forgive us, Lord.
Leader:
For routine in our piety; for our hesitation in the face of
sacrifice; for our laziness in doing good; for our weakness in
rooting out our defects.
All:
Forgive us. Lord.
Leader:
For our excuses of: no time, no energy, no talent, which we
use to avoid accepting and extending your love.
All:
Forgive us, Lord.
Leader:
For our failure to live the spirit of the Group, thus
hindering our growth and our service in the world.
All:
Forgive us, Lord.
Leader:
For the times when our attitude has served more as a dampener
than a spark in the Ultreya.
All:
Forgive us, Lord.
Leader:
For the little time that we devote to study: of Scripture, of the
Council documents, of the environments, of ourselves, and thus
remain ill prepared for the apostolate.
All:
Forgive us, Lord.
Leader:
For devoting more time to ourselves and our interests than to
the extension of your Kingdom.
All:
Forgive us, Lord.
Leader:
For ignoring or failing to understand clearly the purpose of
the Cursillo Movement,
and
for not prayerfully selecting and preparing candidates and
environments.
All:
Forgive us. Lord.
Leader:
For all our mistakes, negligence and selfcentredness as
Christian leaders.
All:
Forgive us, Lord.
Leader:
For all our sins, for the sins of all Christians, for the
sins of all people on earth.
All:
Forgive us, Lord.
Leader:
Lord, give us your forgiveness and your peace.
May
we serve you cleansed of all our sins and with hearts full of
confidence and joy. Amen.
Praise
and Thanksgiving

us give thanks to the God and Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ!
Because
of his great mercy he gave us new life by raising Jesus Christ
from the dead.
This
fills us with a living hope.” (1 Peter 1,3)
Canticle
of Zechariah Luke
1:6879
Blessed
be the Lord, the God of Israel!
He
has visited his people and redeemed them.
He
has raised up for us a mighty saviour in the house of David, his
servant, as he promised by the lips of holy men, those who were
his prophets from of old.
A
saviour who would free us from our foes, from the hands of all
who hate us.
So
his love for our fathers is fulfilled and his holy covenant
remembered.
He
swore to Abraham our father to grant us. that free from fear, and
saved from the hands of our foes,
we
might serve him in holiness and justice all the days of our life
in his presence.
As
for you, little child,
You
shall be called a prophet of God,
the
Most High.
You
shall go ahead of the Lord to prepare
his
ways before him.
To
make known to his people their salvation
through
forgiveness of all their sins,
the
loving kindness of the heart of our God
who
visits us like the dawn from on high.
He
will give light to those in darkness,
those
who dwell in the shadow of death, and guide us into the way of
peace.
Glory
be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit;
As
it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without
end. Amen.
